About Us

Matthew Wharton founded MW Technologies in 2018 while working as a shift worker as a Reliability Engineer for the power grid. He felt there was a better way to manage the shift schedule that would allow shift workers to check their schedule anywhere and be able to share it with their families. That was when MW Technolgoies was founded by creating swschedule.com as a better the shift work schedule experience. Additionally, Matt has been providing IT services for njmsg.com since 2014.

Matthew is from Monmouth County, New Jersey graduating from Freehold High School where he was in the Computer Science program. He went to The College of New Jersey to earn his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. After, he earned a dual Masters of Science in Electrical Engineer with a concentration in Power Systems and Engineering Management from Drexel University. Matt is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey, a certified NERC Reliability Coordintor System Operator, PJM Certified Transmission Owner Operator, and PJM Certified Generation Dispatcher. Whenever possible, he uses his programming skills to improve processes and make tasks more efficent. He continues to learn more about programming, web design, cyber security, networking, and Linux in his free time with courses from Udemy and TryHackMe.
